Peters, Jr. TASER ELECTRONIC CONTROL DEVICES AND SUDDEN IN-CUSTODY DEATH by Howard E. Williams (Charles E. Thomas Publishers) cited and referenced Dr. Peters' several articles on excited delirium. The recently released RAND Institute study of the New York City Police Department also cited Dr. Peters. Congratulations to Dr. Peters for the recognition of his writings in the excited delirium literature.

The WRAP Restraint Device Study: The International Center for In-Custody Death Research, Inc. in cooperation with the IPICD is conducting an analysis of incidents where The WRAP restraint device was used by law enforcement officers. If you have used The WRAP, please contact the IPICD so that information can be obtained for the study. To date over 150 cases are under review and analysis. The study is believed to be the first research study on The WRAP restraint device, manufactured by Safe Restraints, Inc.

Excited Delirium Database: If you know of an excited delirium case or an in-custody death, please forward the information to the IPICD. The IPICD has created a database of such events. Dr. Peters will be analyzing these cases so the IPICD can create a contemporary and reliable database about these unfortunate events.
