Artificial Intelligence Prompting for Public Safety

February 12, 2026
Virtually led via Zoom
9:00am – 1:00pm PST (noon-4pm East Coast)
Registration deadline: February 6, 2026

Artificial intelligence (AI) is transforming public safety. From daily operations and investigations to report writing and crime analysis, AI is already here—and it’s not going away. Unlike a Google search, AI requires professionals to know how to communicate effectively with these systems. That skill is now essential for anyone who wants to stay current, credible, and cutting‑edge in the field of AI.
The key lies in prompting—writing clear, focused instructions that guide AI to deliver accurate, relevant, and usable responses. A prompt tells the AI what to do, who the audience is, and what rules or boundaries apply. Mastering this skill dramatically improves the quality of AI‑generated work and lays the foundation for advanced strategies.
Prompts are not commands, not static templates, and not web searches. They are conversational, iterative requests in everyday language—no coding required. This program will show you how to harness prompting techniques to strengthen investigations, improve public information, and enhance analytical work.
