John G. Peters, Jr., CLS, Ph.D.

President and CLO

Serves as president and Chief Learning Officer of the IPICD. A former administrator of a medium-sized police department, police officer, and deputy sheriff, Dr. Peters is author of more than 250 publications, and is a judicially-qualified expert witness. In addition to his undergraduate criminal justice degree from the University of Baltimore, Dr. Peters holds 4 graduate degrees, and a California CLEAR teaching credential. In 2020, Dr. Peters was appointed Executive Director of the Americans for Effective Law Enforcement.
